Drone Ecosystems & Rules

DGCA regulations, safety norms, drone categories & applications

Day -02
Principles of Flight

Aerodynamics of fixed-wing & rotorcraft, introduction to simulators.

Assembly I

Drone anatomy, frame setup, motors & propeller installation

Day -04
Assembly II

ESC wiring, radio setup, binding transmitter & receiver

Day -05
Flight Controller & Programming

Flight controller basics (Pixhawk/KK/Betaflight), firmware installation, calibration

Day -06
Power Systems & Troubleshooting

Batteries, charging safety, common wiring/assembly issues

Day -07
Flying Basics

Pre-flight checks, take-off & landing, hovering practice

Day -08
Advanced Flying

GPS hold, waypoint navigation, emergency handling.

Day -09
Assessement & Certification

Theory + Practical flying test. Mini team project (e.g., aerial mapping / inspection demo).

  • Simulation training (basic flight operations).

Assembly & Programming
  • Guided drone assembly (frame, motor, controller).
  • Flight controller setup, calibration & troubleshooting

Flight Training & Certification
  • Pre-flight & post-flight checks.
  • Hands-on flying: hovering, maneuvering, landing.
  • Final assessment & certification

Assessment Pattern

Theory Test (MCQs): 20 questions (30%)

Practical Test (Flying Skills): 50%

Mini Project / Team Task: 20%

Passing Criteria: 70% overall
